My name is Lauren, otherwise known as Salt. Long story.

I’m on the one on the right, obvs.
I’m a working mom to one feisty little girl who is pictured with me above. We wear the same size hats. I love yoga, wine, art, coffee, bad reality TV, and clothes. We live in Charm City with our two very obnoxious cats and my daughter’s fish, Sven, whom she named herself. She’s a big fan of Frozen. (Much like most of the other little girls on the planet.) If I hear Let It Go one more time, I may scream.
I’m also a runner. Funny thing about that; growing up I was never athletic in the least. I did not participate in sports in high school or college. I could barely run a half mile without feeling like I was going to pass out. Then one day in April 2013 at the age of…thirty…something…I decided to abandon the elliptical for a day and get on the treadmill instead. I don’t know why that day was any different than any other time I had attempted to run, but I was instantly hooked and I haven’t looked back. I completed my first half marathon on October 12, 2013, my first full marathon on May 25, 2014, and I’m looking forward to the next one in April 2015.
In my opinion, I have the cutest cheerleader in town.

Resolution Run 5K – January 1, 2014
I started this blog as a place where I can talk about my running, yoga, and fitness in general because I know my poor family is tired of hearing about it. Plus there will be some life stuff too…I love talking about my kid.
Thanks for stopping by and I’m looking forward to meeting YOU!
I can’t begin to thank you enough for stopping over and following my humble blog-o-thing! I wish you the very best, not only today but well into the future. Be inspired and please take care.
I love your blog! I know what it’s like to be fighting a running injury — not fun for someone who relies on running to stay sane! Congrats on your St. Patrick’s Day run. I’m looking forward to an obstacle course mud run in April.

I love your blog! Beautiful little girl and you look like a runner girl. 🙂 I love forward to exploring your blog. I am in love with running also. It’s not a mutual relationship though. It doesn’t love me! It tries to kill my knees and joints! I hope I’m running when I’m 90 🙂
A fellow starbucks lover! Happy I found your site 🙂
I stumbled upon your blog and it is so cute! It’s so awesome that you have already completed a full marathon! I would say I am in the beginning stages of running- I have never really been able to love it, but the more I do it the more I love the feeling afterwards! So finding blogs like yours inspire me to keep running : ) I look forward to seeing more posts of yours : )

We have so much in common! I am a graphic designer {who needs a new job, lol}, mom of 3 and live at Target {they know my name when I go in…and my kids too}
I’m so excited I found your blog! I’m a new mom with a 3 month old baby and I’m just getting back into running. I ran for over 20 minutes for the first time yesterday since giving birth. I’d love to hear any tips you have on finding the time to run! Weirdly, my body remembers running from before I got pregnant (yeah, I didn’t do a great job of keeping it up), but I’m always rushing out for a quick run when my husband is home.
Awe. How old is your little girl.? Soo cute. And I hope I look as good as you when I’m 30 something.! Lol 🙂
Aww thanks you’re too sweet! My daughter will be 3 in March…3 days before I turn 37. 🙂
Oh how fun, close birthdays 🙂
