I’m a guest today!

Hi! I’m here today to tell you that I’m not actually here today. Instead I’m over on one of my favorite blogs, Lindsay Weighs In, with my very first guest post! I’m so excited that I even wore my awesome 1970’s style bright orange corduroy bell bottoms for the occasion, much to the amusement of my coworkers.

Lindsay is super cool, a great motivator, and one of the sweetest people I’ve met in a long time. She is also going to be running her very first 13.1 in about a minute –  the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half in DC on Saturday –  which is a huge and awesome race that I wish I was running in with her or at the very least there to cheer her on. She’s been in total beast mode with her training for the past several months and I know that she is going to kick so much tail out there. In preparation for the big day, she organized a series of awesome bloggers to write about their experience running their first half marathons and I was honored, flattered, and a whole bunch of other pleasant emotions when she asked me to step in and write about mine! My first half is still very fresh in my mind seeing as it was only like 5 months ago and to this day (and probably forever) it will be one of the proudest accomplishments of my life.

I know her first half will be one of the proudest accomplishments of hers too and I can’t wait to see pictures of her victoriously crossing the finish line!

So if you would like, please stop on by and check out my post at Lindsay’s today. I had a lot of fun reminiscing as I wrote it and even got a bit teary eyed because I’m an enormously sentimental dork.

Thank you again for having me, Lindsay! You’re the best and GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND!!! I’ll be up here in Charm City cheering you on!

xoxo,

Salt

Your experience wasn’t so different from my first half marathon experience as far as the having fun part. And the high fives, which are my favorite, especially with little kids.

I have that same tank too, lol. It looks better on you 😉

I want to hear from YOU!
