I’m FREE!! And I have winners!

Wow yesterday sure was disgusting. But today I’m back and feeling at least a little bit better. Perhaps even good enough to try a short run on my lunch break because…

I’m sorry, but no amount of dry heaving is going to make me let that go to waste.

Just kidding. No dry heaves over here. Just a mild headache and maybe a little sunshine and endorphins will take care of it.

Today is full of not just good weather news, but also good chiropractor news!

I’M FREE!!!!!!

That’s what I’m talking about, Ray.
He’s my favorite football player of all time, you know.

Yes I have been officially released by Dr. D who does not want to see my face again for a very long time. As much as I love that guy, I don’t particularly want to see him again either. Obviously I can’t throw myself right back into running the way that I was before all this happened, but as long as I start slow I should be okay. Today I feel no negative effects of the 3.1 miles I ran Saturday morning, so I’ll take that as a good sign. Kelly St. Shamrock 5K, I’m coming for you this weekend! (Though maybe a little slower than I might like.)

Oh and I also have winners!

Thanks to everyone who played along with my Hydrapak SoftFlask and GU giveaway and thank you so much to Hydrapak for providing me with such a great prize! I should mention that these are available at REI stores everywhere in case anyone wants to go find one and doesn’t feel like ordering it online because they are impatient like me.

There are TWO winners today. The first one will receive this lovely 500ml SoftFlask:

And that person is:

Thanks for tweeting about this giveaway, Tessa! You win! I hope this will solve all of your dehydration problems.

And then also I have a winner for the grab bag o’ GU products:

You’ve been GU’d!! I hope you enjoy them and thanks for liking me on Facebook. 🙂

I will be contacting you both shortly to coordinate your prizes!

Is anyone else running in a St. Paddy’s Day race? How is your running weather today? Tell me about it!

So awesome you are feeling better! AND cleared to run! I’m sure I don’t have to remind you to ease back into things.

Our weather has been good – it broke 40 over the weekend and got to 52 yesterday … about the same today. That has meant running temps of 25 – 35 for my runs. Which is great … but then starting tomorrow we are looking at snow and sub-zero again! Then back to ‘normal winter’. Done.

That’s like shorts weather for you! Same thing is about to happen down here. We have today and tomorrow of nice warmness and then Thursday possible snow and maybe some next week too. I am never going to complain about being too hot again.

YAY!!! So glad you got the clear to do what you want to do!!! And kudos to you for taking your time to get back in the swing of things!!! The weather here is supposed to be in the high 70’s – I’m over the moon! Enjoy your run – and glad you feel better from the funk too! ox

I wish I was running in a St. Paddy’s Day event. Our running weather today is wet/snowy and a little cold still but totally manageable. Glad you are feeling better.

    Nice, glad to hear that!
Running weather? Well, today is gorgeous – it was around 60 on my run this morning and in the 80’s this afternoon. But then they say tomorrow it will be 40 with 45mph wind gusts. What?!?! That’s stupid.

So glad you’re feeling better AND that you’re clear to RUN!! Who can resist gorgeous spring temperatures?! I’d love to run outside but with all the melt going on, it’s still super slick. Compound that with my hamstring issues, and I’m sticking to my bike trainer.

Glad to see that you’re back running – and in such great weather!

We had snow this morning but looks like sun and high 50s for my Paddy’s Day race (and first race of the year) on Saturday.

I got a black Bondi Band with green shamrocks on it for my race this weekend!! WOOP!!! 🙂 (Hate the Ravens Gif… love you <3) 😉

YAYY!!! So happy your chiropractor doesn’t want to see your face! That’s something I like to hear from my doctors, dentists, vets, etc. I wish I was doing a St. Paddy’s Day race! Prob for the best though since I’ve had some mild injuries lately.

Glad to hear you have nice running weather! We have had very nice weather here! It has been in the 80’s here and it has been a little hard to get used to running in that temperature. It was feels soooo much hotter than it is when you are out running especially with the sun beaming down.
I have no St. Paddy’s race. I did a local 5k last weekend so I will count that as one!
I hope you don’t have to see the dr anymore either! Sending you injury free vibes!
