I ran 5 miles! And a big reveal! {SPIbelt giveaway winner!}

Before I do anything else – and because I LOVE keeping people in suspense – let me start by showing you what I did yesterday:

I know. This really highlights my stellar photography skills.

The point is that I ran 5 miles! And 8:11 is a pretty good pace! And I could still walk afterward! Today I have a big blister on my toe (of the other foot…breaking in new shoes sure is fun) and my ankle is a little sore so I’m going to stick with cross training for today and tomorrow and rest on Friday, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I feel good enough do a long run on Saturday. Long run being like 6-8 miles, but still that’s way longer than anything I’ve cranked out since February 12.

I know you didn’t come to my blog today because you were hoping to see crappy pictures of a treadmill display taken in a dark room though. And if you did, thanks but that’s weird.

No you came here because…

I’m so excited and I’m having a really difficult time hiding it. I absolutely love doing giveaways and picking the winner is always the most fun part for me. I wanted to thank SPIbelt so much for making such an amazing product and for providing me with such a great prize.

And I wanted to thank all of you for participating and reading and leaving me such cool comments so I can go check out your blogs too! I’ve discovered more awesome sites than I can count by doing giveaways like this one. My reader is quickly reaching critical mass.

So yes we have a winner and that winner is:

(He used to scare me when I was little. He still kind of does.)

Congratulations, HEATHER BARNSTEIN!! I’m so excited for you! Thank you so much for liking my Facebook page because that’s apparently the entry that won you this sweet SPIbelt. I will be contacting you shortly so that we can coordinate how the heck I’m going to get this prize to you. Mail? Carrier pigeon? That teleportation thing they used in Willy Wonka to break the chocolate bar up into a billion pieces and move it from one end of the room to the other? We’ll get it figured out.

So this giveaway has come to a close, but my Color Run promo has just kicked off and someone is going to win 2 FREE ENTRIES! Enter by checking out this post. Then I have something else cooking for next week because it’s BIRTHDAY WEEK! Not for my blog…it’s my actual birthday and my daughter’s too. She will be 2. I will be 25 again. For the eleventh time.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday and congratulations again, Heather!

    Yay for such a good run and yay for Heather! So exciting!

    Ps: I vote teleportation. That would be my super power of choice! (Also, my computer doesn’t believe in teleportation apparently because it does not recognize it as a real word.)

      YES!!! We got this!! Actually I was a little sad just now because all the bikes in the movie theater were taken and I missed out on watching The Hunger Games because I had to bike upstairs with no movie. And all the people watching it were men which was surprising to me.

      I hope you had a great crosstrain day and hooray for good runs!

      Still keeping them crossed! I am definitely still feeling that 5, but planned on cross training today and resting tomorrow. Hopefully that will help! I just want to be back in fighting shape by next weekend for my first March race. 🙂

I want to hear from YOU!
